<title>RIP Gregory Hines</title>
<link>http://www.sugarmegs.net/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=4</link>
<description>Tap dancer, stage, screen actor Gregory Hines dies at 57

What a sad thing to lose such a great dancer/performer at only 57 years of age. I remember most of his movies, like the one where he had micrphones put into the heels of his tap shoes to bang out the rhythms, or going out into the streets to teach dancers the rhythm in everyday street events. He even had pressure sensitive heels in tap shoes connected to synthesizer via wireless transmission. He felt that tap was another form of percussive music, and proved it by tapping the percussion on a collaborabtive album with jazz great Stanley Clarke. He will be sorely missed.</description>
